Volunteering is one of the greatest activities you can get involved in whilst at University. Being part of a volunteering group allows you to meet like-minded people whilst giving back to the community.
Volunteering is open to everyone, from first-time to die-hard volunteers. To become a volunteer you need no previous experience or skills as getting involved throughout your time at University will give you everything you need.
If you volunteer with any of the opportunities that are on offer not only will you get that warm fuzzy feeling inside but you also gain valuable skills that employers love to see on your CV.
Volunteering has many benefits including:
• Improve your employment prospects
• Give something back to your community
• Make use of your current skills and develop new skills
