► International Development Society
The main goal of the International Development Society is to have an arena where students interested in Development can meet one another across different years and subjects, enabling students to build a community which reaches beyond the classroom.
We have, and are continuing to develop links with Non Governmental Organisations and development charities so that our members can meet the people they want to work with, and work on the projects they care most about.
We will focus on connecting our members to other students and staff engaged in development work around the UK, Europe and the rest of the world. We will send students to international conferences. We will also enrich the learning experience of our members by regularly showing films related to development, hosting workshops, fundraising for charities, attending external lectures, organising outings, supporting students on foreign trips and bringing in guest speakers throughout the year.
